Mortgage Term Reduction and Mortgage Interest Savings Alert
It was brought to our attention that members are receiving solicitations from companies offering them assistance to save interest and reduce terms on their mortgages by arranging a biweekly payment schedule with their credit union. Please note these companies are not affiliated with Power Financial Credit Union.
These solicitations also include a hefty fee for this assistance not disclosed in the solicitation. They also do not disclose that only one payment is sent to the credit union each month. The second payment is kept by those companies and sent as a lump sum at the end of the year to the credit union.
