When will I receive my new credit card?
You will receive your card by May 21, 2017. You’ll need to activate your Power Financial Credit Union credit card before you use it. To activate, call the number on the sticker located on your new credit card.
Will I have issues using my credit card during this conversion?
It is our goal to make these conversions as seamless and transparent as possible. We do not anticipate any issues during the conversion, but please contact us should you encounter any issues with your new card.
I received a new credit card in the mail and it says I cannot use it until May 22, 2017. Can you clarify?
We’ve transferred your Ryder System Federal Credit Union Credit Card to a Power Financial Credit Union Platinum Credit Card. Your current Ryder System Federal Credit Union Credit Card will continue to work through May 21, 2017. Please begin using your new Power Financial Credit Union Credit Card on May 22, 2017. Be sure to properly dispose of your Ryder System Federal Credit Union Credit Card by cutting or shredding it so the numbers are not readable.
I received a new Power Financial Credit Union credit card even though I applied for, and, already received a new Power Financial Credit Card. Can you clarify how this occurred?
As part of the credit card conversion process, we wanted to ensure that all open Ryder Credit Card accounts were converted over to Power Financial Credit Union. As part of this conversion process, you may receive a second Power Financial Credit Card with a separate credit card account number. If you already closed your Ryder Systems Federal Credit Union credit card balance as part of the Power Financial Credit Union balance transfer program, you will not receive a second card. If you would like to close your second Power Financial Credit Union credit card and transfer that balance to your original Power Financial Credit Union credit card, please contact our Contact Center to accommodate that request.
I received a new card, but I have recurring payments set up on my current card.
Please reach out to the merchant(s) that you have set up for recurring payments to give them your new Power Financial Credit Union Credit Card number and expiration date.
I am trying to activate my card and it will not work.
Make sure you are calling from the primary phone number you have on your Power Financial Credit Union Account. You will also need the last 4 digits of the primary member’s social security number.
I received my new card but I have not gotten a PIN.
For additional security, you can add a pin to your card; you will also be given the option to create a pin by phone when you activate your card. You may also call 888-886-0083 to request a pin for your Power Financial Credit Union credit card.
Where can I view my credit card history and transactions?
Simply select the loan menu on the homepage of www.powerfi,org, and click on the personal credit card option in the drop down menu. Once on the credit card page, scroll to the bottom and click on the link for credit cards opened after June 1st. You will encounter a pop up explaining that you are leaving Power Financial Credit Union’s website and going to the Access Point website where you can view your credit card transaction, sign up for eStatements, and much more. Once on the site, please enter your Power Financial Credit Card number to start enrollment process.
Can I access my Power Financial credit card account information online?
Yes, you can get the following information through our online interface to Access Point. To reach Access Point within SecureLink Online Banking, click on the Additional Services menu and select credit card from the drop down menu that will appear. If you have already registered for Access Point via the credit card page on the website, then you will be taken directly into the Access Point site. If you have not yet registered for Access Point via the credit card page of the website, then you will be asked to register the first time you use the credit card link in online banking. Access Point will provide you the following information and more:
- Get a summary of your current account status, including balance, available credit and payment information.
- Request up to 12 months of detailed transaction information from the date your Credit Card was activated.
- View and print up to 18 months of credit card statements from the date your Credit Card was activated.
- Manage your one time and recurring credit card payments online.
Will I have access to my previous credit card statements?
Previous year’s credit card statements for Ryder System Federal Credit Union credit cards will be transferred to the Power Financial Credit Union archives. Statement history for your Power Financial Credit Union credit card will appear on the statement/estatement the following month from the date the credit card is activated. Should you needs to access a previous year’s statement for you Ryder System Federal Credit Union credit card, please contact us a 800-548-5465 and we will be happy to assist you.
How can I make my credit card payment?
You can make your payment several ways:
- Through the Access Point website accessed by selecting additional services from the SecureLink Online Banking main menu, selecting credit card from the drop down men and processing your one-time payment through the Access Point system.
- You can also set up recurring payments using Access Point. To use Access Point, please follow the instructions above and select the payments menu option is Access Point to set up your payment preferences.
- You can mail your paymentto: 560 Carillon Pkwy, St Petersburg FL 33716. Please allow ten days for the payment to process.
- You can bring your payment into any Power Financial Credit Union branch location.
Please note: The Access Point System and payments made at the branches will take 24 hours to reflect in the credit card balance.
Can I set up recurring payments? Automatic Payments Outside the Access Point System?
Yes! After May 22, 2017, you can set up a recurring/automatic payment by logging into online banking and selecting the Account Transfer option from the Move Money menu drop down and selecting transfer payment. You can select the credit card payment to be made from your savings or checking account by selecting the account to transfer from and the credit card loan for which you wish to make the payment. Please note all payments require 24 hours to post.
I enrolled in credit card e-statements, will I receive electronic or paper statements after the conversion?
To receive electronic statements for your new Power Financial Credit Union Credit Card, you will need to enroll in e-statements. You can set up e-statements by logging into Access Point through the Additional Services tab on the home page of the Credit Union’s website www.powerfi.org Set up e-statements for your Power Financial Credit Card in Access Point by selecting Statements and Activity from the main menu and then selecting Go Paperless, or give us a call and we will set this up for you. If you do not enroll your new credit card in e-statements, you will receive a monthly $2.00 paper statement service fee.
Can I use my Power Financial credit card to make payments in Bill Pay?
No, this feature is not available. However, you may use Bill Pay to make payments to your Power Financial credit card; payments may take up to two weeks before posting to your credit card.
What are the requirements for the Power Financial credit card rewards program?
You can earn reward points, using your Power Financial Credit Union Signature Card. You may apply for a signature card, to earn reward points.
Use your Signature Credit Card for all of your everyday purchases and earn points. From fuel to groceries to utility bills, your everyday purchases will really pay off. Please visit www.powerfi.org/credit cards for more details on our rewards program.
Can I access my new Power Financial Credit Card account using my mobile device?
Currently, the mobile banking app does not allow Power Financial Credit Union Credit Card holders to access their information. Cardholders will be notified when this mobile enhancement is completed. In the interim, you may utilize Access Point in online banking be selecting credit card in the drop down menu under Additional Services; There are four easy steps to access to your credit card, such as:
- Making your credit card payments with your Power Financial credit union checking account.
- Get a summary of your current account status, including balance, available credit and payment information.
- Request up to 12 months of detailed transaction information from card activation date.
- View and print up to 18 months of credit card statements from card activation date.
- Make and manage your credit card payments.
How do I transfer a balance?
If you are currently eligible to complete a balance transfer, you can go to “additional service” on the online banking main menu and click on the credit card in the drop down menu. This will take you to the credit card Access Online card management website. In Access Point. you will find a balance transfer link in at on the right side of the page.. Simply select “Request a balance transfer” in the Additional Services/Special offers section of Access Point. This will take you to the balance transfer form. From there you can submit a balance transfer and/or select Direct Deposit.
Please remember that it can take up to 10 business days for an online balance transfer or direct deposit to post to your account. Also remember the total credit available amount may not include recent purchases, advances or transfers. Your transfer amount cannot exceed your total credit available, so be sure to plan for applicable fees and interest charges when determining your transfer amount.
Can I transfer funds using my Power Financial CU personal credit card?
Yes, you can make transfers from your personal credit card to your linked checking or savings account in two different ways. First, you can initiate an immediate funds transfer which will be treated as a cash advance, and will typically be subject to a higher annual percentage rate and incur transaction fees. Please see your Credit Card Agreement for more details.
Second, you can deposit funds from your credit card into your checking account by selecting Request a direct deposit from your credit card on the Access Point/Additional Services page. Direct deposits can take up to five days to process and will incur transaction fees. Please see your Credit Card Agreement for more details.
What happens if I go over my credit line?
If you exceed your credit line, you will not be able to make any more cash advance or purchase until you have paid your balance below the cash credit limit. There is no account penalty if you go over your cash credit line. Exceeding the cash credit line will not result in a fee or a higher APR, but you may have declined transactions.
Will I receive a confirmation number when completing a balance transfer?
You won’t receive a confirmation number, but you’ll know your balance transfer request has been successfully submitted by the confirmation page that displays once you complete the form. Remember, if your request is approved, it can take up to 10 business days for an online balance transfer to post to your account. Please do not resubmit your request online. Your available credit amount may not include recent purchases, advances or transfers. Your balance transfer amount cannot exceed your available credit, so be sure to plan for applicable fees and interest charges when determining your transfer amount.
How do I request a credit line increase?
To request a credit line increase, please call us at 800-548-5465 and speak to a Power Financial Credit Union associate. We will be happy to assist you with your credit line increase request.
How do I request a new / replacement card?
You can request an additional card or a replacement card by signing in to Online Banking and going to the Access Point/ Additional Services tab for your account.
How can I avoid problems using my credit card when I'm traveling domestically?
In order to prevent any interruption in card access, we recommend that you contact us prior to traveling at the number on the back of your card and speak to one of our credit card associates to determine if there are any credit card restrictions on the area you are visiting.

Is it possible to increase my credit limit on my credit card prior to going on my trip?
You may request an increase to your credit limit, doing so requires completing an application; approval may take up to two weeks. Please speak to a Power Financial CU Contact Center agent or branch representative for more details.
What are the fees for using a credit card in a foreign country?
For detailed information on fees, please visit our web site at www.powerfi.org, scroll to the bottom of the home page and select “About Us.” From the left hand menu of the About Us page select “Disclosures” and then select “Fee Schedule”.
What are some tips for using an ATM in foreign countries?
ATMs can be used to get foreign currency while traveling and may save you money when compared to buying currency at exchange rate booths. Despite the advantages, you need to be prepared for special circumstances that can arise when using an international ATM. Here are a few tips to help you on your way:
Check the network: Check your card’s network. Cards in the Star and Visa networks often feature ATMs with easy-to-read instructions in English.
Research the country where you are traveling to: There are some countries where ATM transactions are blocked. Please research the country to verify whether you will be able to use your credit card.
Understand the types of fees charged: Fees may be incurred for using the ATM and there may also be fees for currency conversion and cash advances. It is usually better to make fewer larger transactions instead of multiple smaller ones due to the fees charged for each transaction.
Make sure your PIN is valid: Some ATMs only allow 4-digit PINs. If your current PIN is longer than 4 digits, you may need to get a new PIN before you start your trip.
Have a backup plan: Some ATMs limit your access to a primary checking account, so have an alternative means of making purchases such as using foreign currency, traveler’s checks or a debit card.
Additional tips: Remember that not all foreign ATMs offer instructions in English.
If you are unable to use a foreign ATM, you may be able to use your credit card to make a cash advance at a local bank.
How can I avoid problems using my credit card when I'm traveling internationally?
To prevent any potential interruption to your card access, we recommend that you contact us prior to traveling by calling the number on the back of your card and speak to an associate to discuss and fraud restrictions for the country you are visiting. We recommend that you memorize your credit card PIN as you may be required to enter your PIN to complete a purchase. A PIN will also be needed to withdraw cash at an ATM. You can request your credit card PIN by calling 1-888-886-0083.

Can I use my credit card at an ATM in a foreign country?
Yes. At some of the largest networks such as Star, Visa/Plus networks which have ATMs worldwide
Remember these 3 important considerations when using foreign ATMs:
1. Some foreign ATMs are only available during normal business hours
2. Many foreign ATMs offer instruction in English, but not all of them
3. Your PIN must be 4 digits. Some ATMs do not accept PINs longer than 4 digits. You can request your PIN by calling 1888-886-0083.
What travel benefits do I get with my credit card?
Your Power Financial Credit Union Platinum Credit Card comes with car rental theft or collision insurance if you pay for the rental using your Power Financial Credit Union Platinum card.
How do I contact Power Financial Credit Union from outside the U.S.?
To call from an international location, please dial the AT&T Direct Access Number of the country you’re calling from followed by 855-637-1963.
What should I know about direct deposits from my credit card?
You can request a direct deposit from your credit card to a checking or savings account up to your total credit available. You can do this by logging into Online Banking and going to the Additional Services tab. Under the Credit Card section you will find a link to complete a direct deposit. It may take up to five days to process. Please note that your total credit available may be affected by any purchases you have made or recent advance requests. Check your Credit Card Agreement for any applicable transaction fees. For your security, all direct deposits from your credit card made online require you to provide two pieces of information you can find on the credit card.
How do I know what my Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is?
An APR is the annual percentage rate (interest) charged on a credit card expressed as an annualized amount. You can locate the APR for your account on your credit card statement. The rate for your current Ryder System Federal Credit Union Credit Card Account will transfer over to your new Power Financial Credit Union Platinum Credit Card. We will be adjusting rates at a later date.
Interest charge, and when does it occur?
An interest charge is the sum of interest on your credit card account. It is broken down by transaction type: purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers. If you pay less than the full balance or pay after the payment due date, then you will pay interest on those purchases. Please note, cash advances and balance transfers have no grace period, which means they start accruing interest as soon as the transaction is made. This will result in interest due, even if your balance is paid in full.
